10:59 | and it starts raining 10 mins ago... perfect time to visit the museum
First visit the Impressionist Garden with works of Monet and Prassrio... The Audio Commentary is excellent, much better than the one from Rina Sofia. (3.5 for main or 5.1 for both) |
Afternoon | |
12:42 | no Photo
There are three floors, start from floor 2, down to floor 1 and finish off at floor 0. Floor 2 and 1 is huge. Floor 2 has painting from early Italian Renaissance. Floor 1 is the impressionist, expressionist... and all the good stuff of 18 to early 20th century. Lastly floor 0 is mostly Cubism and paintings from late 19th to 20th century Entry: 8 for temp exhibition 10 for main winter hours: 10am to 7:00pm, close Monday It will take a whole day if follow the audio commentary |
17:00 | 5 h is too short for this museum
|
17:01 | Free visit on Friday
No Photo There are two floors, 1 and 2. Both floors are quite huge. Unlike the Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza and Rina Sofia museums, some of the painting has English description. But it is still worth it to obtain the Audio commentary (3.5), it is a bit more detail than the description. It is a bit bigger than the Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, so a full visit will probably take a whole day (maybe more if you want to follow all commentaries). Walking the museum is more tiresome than hiking... Weekday Opening time: 9:00 am to 8:00pm |
