The hotel is very nice (and so is most hotels in Japan).
I walked pass it several times before I found it. It's on the left hand side of the main street, not in a side street like it was indicated on their map (or shown on the Google map). It was next to a parking lot. Walking towards Asakusa, before the first traffic light (from Inaricho station east), you will see a little alley on your left. The Oak Hotel sign is on your right hand side on the side walk, not very visible at night. It is just a simple wooden board.
Turn left for Biggy, turn right for smallgy...

Toyoko inn in Hakodate Price for single room: 5040Y easy checkin, nice hotel, with automatic toilet, excellent value, room is large enough for 1 person. Got everything: toothbrush, pajama, tea etc and breakfast is free The breakfast in toyoko-inn is buffet style, rice balls, pickle, and miso soup, simple but adequate. It also has free LAN, free internet and free WIFI. The Toyoko inn is only 15 minutes from the Hakodate Train Station.
The room in Toyoko Inn is small but comfortable. Not to mention it looks sparkingly new.
The toilet is automatic. After doing the biggie, a stream of water would help you clean. It has two options: front (female only), and back, it also comes with three different strength. The automatic toilet in toyo-ko inn is made by national.
Most business hotel in Japan has the shower and washing basin sharing the same pipe. This is much more efficient than other design.
Noboribetsu Grand Hotel, which stands in front of a beautiful ravine and a sea of trees, has worked to improve its service throughout its history of over half a century.
It is also known as the "guest house of the north" because it was formerly patronized by the Imperial Household. The hotel is popular among many guests for its noble style.
I didn't try this hotel for a lack of fund.

View from my room in Toyoko inn. They won't allow me to stay 2 nights because I don't have reservation. Vending machine in Toyoko Inn is cheaper than outside.
