Siem Reap used to be the capital of Angkor Empire. It can be reached from Phnom Penh by bus or by tour boat (less than US$20) or fly from Bangkok. Point of interest in Siem Reap includes: Angkor Complex which contains the famous Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom (the Capital of Jayavarman VII), and Ta Prohm (the tomb raider temple), Preah Khan (2nd largest temple after Angkor Wat), Ta Som, Banteay Srei, Pre Rup, Neak Pean, the Rolous Group and many more. You can also visit siem reap national museum (US$12) or watch the Beat Cello Concert on Saturday (Free) or drink yourself silly at pub street.
